Manufacturing campaign
One campaign.
Every asset working in the same direction.
01 What was happening
Every channel was saying something slightly different.
Ads were running. The website existed. Outreach was happening. None of it was coordinated. A prospect who saw a LinkedIn ad, then searched on Google, then received an outreach email, would encounter three different framings of what the company actually did and why it mattered.
02 Why it was happening
There was no shared positioning anchor behind any of it.
Each channel had been built separately, at different times, sometimes by different people or agencies, without a common ICP or pain-point framework to work from. Nobody had sat down and decided, in writing, exactly which two problems this campaign was supposed to own in the buyer's mind.
03 What I changed or built
Two pillars, then every asset built from them.
I defined two specific operational pain-point pillars for the campaign to own, then built the positioning and ICP around them. Everything else followed from that same foundation:
- A focused landing page structured around the two pillars
- An interactive Production Planning and Visibility Score — a short self-assessment tool for the visitor
- A downloadable production-planning diagnostic
- Ten LinkedIn static-ad concepts
- Two Google Search ad groups, with 30 headlines and eight descriptions written across them
- An ABM outreach sequence
- An email nurture path
Keywords, ad copy, the landing page, the downloadable asset and the outreach sequence were all aligned to the same two pillars and the same language.
04 What moved
This one is a scope-and-system write-up, not a results claim.
I'm not publishing lead, pipeline or revenue numbers for this engagement. What changed, concretely, is structural: a prospect encountering the company through any of the seven channels above now met the same two pillars and the same core message, instead of three or four unrelated pitches depending on where they happened to land.
That consistency is the thing this write-up is actually about.
05 What I handled
Positioning through to outreach, as one connected build.
- Pillar definition and positioning
- Landing-page structure and copy
- The interactive scoring tool's concept and logic
- The downloadable diagnostic asset
- LinkedIn and Google Ads copywriting
- The ABM outreach sequence and email nurture structure
- Keeping every asset aligned as the campaign evolved
06 What I would improve next
Build the tool's logic before finalising ad copy, and centralise updates earlier.
The interactive scoring tool's logic was finalised slightly after some of the ad copy, which meant a small amount of copy needed revisiting to match the tool's actual output. Next time, the tool's logic gets locked first. I'd also set up a single source of truth for positioning updates earlier, so a change propagates to every channel automatically instead of being applied manually, asset by asset.
07 Relevant offer
This is closest to an Industrial RFQ Growth System.
ICP segmentation, positioning, a landing page and Google Search setup built around technical buyer intent — the same foundation this campaign was built on.
08 Next step
Do your channels agree with each other?
If your ads, your site and your outreach were each built at different times by different people, there's a good chance they're each making a slightly different promise. Tell me what your current setup looks like.
